Academic Tutor
Mr. Zhao holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Harvard University (Dean's List Academic Achievement Award), a Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and a Bachelor of Applied Science. During his undergraduate studies in engineering at UBC, he graduated with excellent grades and received an acceptance letter for UBC's Master's program in engineering three months early. He was also accepted into other prestigious universities like the University of Toronto. During his Master's, he was mentored by Dr. David Wilkinson, a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Canadian Research Chair, and founder of Ballard Power Systems, focusing on the application of lithium and hydrogen batteries in electric vehicles. He graduated with an average GPA of 89.8%.
To expand his employment opportunities, he pursued further studies at Harvard University, earning a Master's degree in Computer Multimedia Design with a cumulative GPA of 3.94, graduating with the Dean's List Academic Achievement Award. Mr. Zhao has also worked as an assistant manager in the quality inspection department at Shell, the world's largest oil company, and as a technician at SGS, the world's largest third-party inspection company, in its Alaska branch.
He has dedicated himself to teaching for over nine years, instructing various subjects. Many of his students have achieved excellent results in school, AP and IB exams, and competitions, gaining admission to top universities like UBC, UT, and Waterloo.
